Has any one tested chiliSoft with CPanel and is there any problems. Also can you install chiliSoft after you have setup sites in CPanel.. Ours is till kind of new only about 40 sites right now.

I think chiliSoft says you have to do it on a clean install. Is this ture or would it be ok to install it now?

Also Cold Fusion is will this work as well with CPanel and is there any issues i should know about?

If there is any thing i need to do to make these work past there installes please let me know..

Thanks ahead of time.. :)

Is chilisoft stable? I've thought about it adding it as well... but $800.... I can get a NT server for less than half that... yes.. the $800 is a one time fee. but from what I've heard it's not that stable and the extra price for a second server would seem a better choice.

opinions?

Well we go tit installed today seems to be ok.. I moved vortechhosting.com which was all done in ASP and ran some test today.. Seemed to do ok really but it is only one site.. I pointed 4 server at it oping the index page 40 times each a sec or so and never had a problem..

We are going to try to install cold fusion next to see how that goes.. hehe

The only thing with Chili!Soft was it did not support CPanels ver of apache but after some work got it all worked out.. :)

We didn't have any problem installing ChiliSoft on cpanel machines that had Apache 1.3.14.

However, the newest cpanel server we have already has Apache 1.3.20 installed, and yes, it is going to be tricky to get it working.

ChiliSoft documentation does say they support Apache 1.3.12 and 1.3.14

I know that this thread is really old now but does anyone know of an ASP solution that is compatible with CPanel?

If it's ChiliSoft, are people still encountering problems with this?

Thanks.

The best ASP solution is to get Windows, it is getting really cheap now, just throw in a windows 2003 web edition box and you can spend less than $800 for a full server and offer customers far better asp and access capability.
