Does anyone know a business who sells PCs for a cheap amount of money?
I'm looking at spending around $200. Doesn't have to be to fancy, but good enough.
This is kinda what I'm looking for:
- 900MHz
- 128MB ram
- 20GB
- 40X CD (and up)
- AMD Athlon processor (they seem to be cheaper than Pentium IIIs)
Thanks,
Shawn
PS: I know this doesn't have to really do with Web Hosting, but I will be managing my company from it :D

Are we talking U.S. dollars?
An AMD Athlon 900 mhz + motherboard + fan runs around $150 alone. That doesn't include memory, case, video card, sound card, or cdrom.

for that limited pricing... i'd recommend an AMD Duron... very overclockable and very affordable! ;)
I think you need to spend at least$490 to get a complete package not including monitor. $200 may get you motherboard, cpu, ram. But you need more than that to just make it running. unless u are doing an upgrade for ur existing PC

I'd recommend you go with a Duron 600Mhz, Abit KT7 or Asus A7V, 128 Crucial.com ram. Don't know if 40x CD-Rom is really needed, but they are cheap anyway, if you really need it cheap, get a slower one. For the HDD you could go with any decent name brand for pretty cheap.
That all would be above $200, if you are looking for a full computer for $200, you won't find it with what you want.

The cheapest place I have found is http://www.cyberpowerinc.com . I have purchased 1 computer from them a few years ago as well as a AMD T-bird/mobo recently. They are very cheap but their customer service is terrible. I never recieved a shipping notice or any email from them. The products were fine though. I guess you get what you pay for.:)

Planet Z> Yes, US dollars. I didn't know you can't tell the difference between currencies! J/K Hehe
alpha> Thanks! I'll look into that :)
eiv> No thanks.
Get-Hosted.com> Thank you so much, that is what i've been looking for! I'll check out the site right now :)
David@Digisurge> You too, thanks a lot! I'm checkin out that site now..
Yeh, I think it would be better if I started out my business with not spending a whole lot on a PC, besides.. Once the profits come in, then is the time for a nice PC :)
Thanks everyone!

Hmm,
even I would be lucky to get a system like that for $200.... :)
Try a second hand shop, or see if you can find some more money somewhere in that old sock :stickout

I think I'm gonna buy a AMD Duron off of eBay. There are a few cheap ones in my price range :)
