I can't access FTP on some accounts, others work fine.
I have changed password, used only the Ip address instead of domain,Tryed Synchronize FTP Passwords,
restarted FTP but nothing.
The same accounts can be accessed by the file manager in Cpanel.
Errorsays
530 login-in incorrect.
any ideas?
I think that you may be using the wrong FTP address.
I don't know the specifics, but most of my normal name based accounts have a different IP for the ftp portion.
Go into cpanel and setup a new account. Then go and hit edit DNS zone, and look to see what the entry for FTP is.

I had this problem with CPanel before, but forget how I fixed it. Submit a TT to CPanel support, they will probably get you sorted out.

its a cpanel bug (so they say)
I use the main ip for server (not domain name)and could log-in then.
As per Knowledge Base at CuteFTP and WS_FTP, a 530 error means incorrect password.

yes but after you change/reset the password several times....you just kinda know it must be something else, besides log-in user/pass problems
Agreed. Which FTP program are you using?

WS_FTP
but its not only I cant log-in customers cant either.
Are you logging into:
website.com
or
ftp.website.com?
Well, while in WS_FTP if you are in fact able to login to some sites but not to others, it would seem logical that it has to do with the specific settings of the sites rather than general settings in WS_FTP. Otherwise you would have the same problems with all the sites.
1. Are these newly created sites? If so, has DNS propogated?
2. Are you using ftp.site.com for Host address?
3. Is it set to Port 21?
4. Do you have it set to Passive Mode in Options?
5. Are you sure you have username and password correct (case sensitive)?
Again, if you are able to connect with some sites and not others, then you have to compare your settings of the "good" sites with the settings of the "bad" sites to see what's different.
This is all assuming, of course, that you have properly set up the sites in WHM. But if you're able to access File Manager in cPanel, then I guess they've been set up properly.

tried it all the ways listed above,I when back thur and created new FTP account.
I can access using main server Ip.
I was told by another that is currently working with a Cpanel tech on their system that it was a bug in Cpanel. Its very doubtful that she and me are having the same problems and the issue being that were not entering the correct information .
thanks
