They've been offering domain name apparel for a while now. I remember back in 1997 when I first registered a domain -- they sent me the same type of offer.

My domain is up for expiration too. I got the same exact email. Anyway, I'm probably going to move it over to dotster or enom.

I got a phone call this morning from someone at NSI. They are doing telemarketing now trying to get people to switch to them. I just told them I was happy with my present registrar and not interested in changing. At least they politely said "thank you" before they hung up, unlike many telemarketers, especially the phone companies that call periodically.

After renewing your domain you will need to fill out 3 easy forms to receive your t-shirt and 3 separate authorization responses for each form. If you would like a certain size it will cost an additional $50 for each year you plan to use the t-shirt. If you renew now we will also cut out a hole for your head to go in absolutely free!

Just tell NSI to stick it where the sun don't shine, and save yourself a lot of money and trouble by switching to Dotster.

I think I posted this somewhere already, but when I requested a domain name transfer from register.com to Dotster, register.com sent me an email offering to undercut Dotster's price. In the email, they also said that they offered better service.
