We had a charge fail with an error that said "try again in five minutes"
After about the third try our billing guy talked to them and they said "oh yes, we have a problem today where we are returning that error message on transactions that were really declined"
But our customer says he sees the charge on his account!
(don't you hate it when people tell you incompatible stories?)
So I called our merchant bank and they said the charge suceeded and they gave us the authorization code.
Anyhow, we processed it as a capture only transaction, and the system says it was accepted.
But the point of this is, if any of you are about to turn a client off based on authorize.net's say so, it might be a good idea to reconsider.
