I have been combing thru the posts here to see what is the right host for a non-profit org. which won't require much space or have many hits. The linkup site needs updating and I may take a crack at it once I feel ready. I have no clue how much space that link takes up so I don't have a clue on what I will need to start a smaller site.

I offered to build a site for another grassroots org. and will be transferring data from other sites.

I have only learned from trial and error in the past and have limited skills but some experience playing with html. I just loaded Front Page 2000 and have been playing with a site with power point and apparently I can't transfer that to Front Page.

Anyway, we have secured a 2 year lease in Boston with a lot of walk by and drive by traffic so I want to design and market web-sites at the office to raise money for the non-profit org.

It appears that Aussie Bob has a lot of fans at HTTPme but I am not ready for the big time. So far AddActiion appears like the safest choice with low start-up costs but does it have what I need?

I can't build a template from scratch and haven't figured out how to find one at Front Page. I know I would need a host to start a new site and also want to transfer their old site over so I will be using an existing domain and creating another. That existing site is small.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you for all your posts and this site is a wealth of info for all.

Just a FYI - Myacen offers free hosting for non profit organisations.

Thanks sanjiv, once we have the org. non-profit status finished by the lawyer then we could go that route but that may be some weeks and the costs with the 6 months free with Addaction seems safe for now but............I am afraid that I may need live phone support for a while to help because of my inexperience and I get trully frustrated with email support.

I am wondering how helpful it could be with Addaction email support or if there is phone support somewhere to get me started and up and going so that I won't require so much phone support.

I am learning on the fly here and hopefully can get started today or tomorrow.
