I've been looking around for decent shared hosting for several sites when I came across some dedicated machines to ECUI which are amazingly cheap - certainly compared with UK prices.

I've been trying to work out what the catch is ;o)

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on questions I should ask, or any experience?

I've done a search and found several positive comments about them.

I was going to go with the Corporate one and it will be hosting about half a dozen of my own ASP sites. I won't be hosting for others or re-selling space, just using it for my own sites. At that price (apart from setup costs) it works out less than having 6 shared hosting plans.

I have had a ecui server for a week now. I had problems ordering... their order system sent me an acknowlegement but it didn't get processed. You need two email acknowledgements before the order is processed.

Once I finally ordered, setup took 5 days (over a w/e). Everything works ok. Had a few hours outage early one morning when ecui routers were not responding (tested via visualroute).

Customer support via email is very quick... within 20 mins. The additional iMail install I ordered was performed within a few hours. Additional ip addresses I ordered came through within 24hrs even though it was over a w/e.

Access is reasonably fast, (even with pcAnywhere) from the UK.

My only problem is with the data transfer logging which seems a bit high (see my separate post after this one!)

So far, I recommend ECUI.

Just to say that I'm a very satisfied ECUI customer. I choose ECUI after some suggestions that I read on this forum and I'm very glad I did.
