Hi,
I am seeking a hosting company which provides a plan
with the following features:
Setup fee: None
Monthly fee: US$10/month max, billed monthly, credit cards accepted
Disk space: 50MB+
Bandwidth: 3GB+
POP3 accounts: 3+
Email Aliases/Forwarding: "unlimited"
Databases: 1+ (any SQL database is fine, mySQL preferred)
FTP accounts: 1+
Other features:
. Java Servlet support (preferably JSP support too)
. Dedicated IP
. PHP3+
. 'private' cgi-bin (and at least Perl support)
. Control Panel on port 80 (incl. File Manager)
. Web-based email access on port 80
. Telnet/Shell access
. Password protected directories
. URL redirection
My site is a small personal website, and so the 3GB
traffic is way more than I need, but I don't want to have
to worry about it. I need the control panel and webmail
on port 80 as I need access from behind a firewall over
which I have no control. I'm a developer, hence the
various technology requirements (for fun and
experimentation).
I noted host10.net (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12722)'s recent offer, which seems to be a
good fit, any comments from past or current clients of
host10 would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Fare thee well,
Sean.
