We are considering buying the autosetup script on offer by the Northwest Host crowd.
Question time;
[1] Are there any other scripts available that can do the same (preferably at a lower cost than $90)?
[2] Those of you that do use the script, is it any good?
[3] And did you have to modify it at all, or can it be used as is?
Thanks,
Johan

Someone gave me that script, it was listed on a free download page (someone bought it and distributed it)
The script is for a RAQ3 I believe, which means it needs editing for a RAQ4 because its not setup to use ASP/PHP or even mySQL is you want it to be setup.
Also some other small adjustments just because its a little different.

The latest release caters (2.0) for the RaQ 4i - I'm concerned that it is not really worth the $90 (just yet).
[1] I currently use the script on my site (v. 2.0) and it does the job perfect! And it also works with a RaQ4i to enable iASP and Php (for RaQ4 only), on a RaQ3 php is automatically enabled.
[2] Unlike other scripts, these script can assign static IPs to clients. Help us A LOT!
[3] I purchased it at $50 dollars, it now costs $90 dollars and I STILL would buy it. Free Upgrades! *Actually.. I purchased version 1.2.. because of me (hehe) version 2.0 came out because I kept giving him ideas!
[4] I modified it to fit my site (the order form) but you don't have to, just install and it works.
[5] The Script can automatically create a MySQL database for the client when they sign up and enable FP extensions for them too!
[6] Again, IT IS worth the $90 dollars! !

Good to hear this :)
The Autosetup website (http://autosetup.northwesthost.com) has been given a nice face lift as well.
I tried redoing the control panel (to make it more cleaner and nicer) but I missed some php coding on some of the pages and am too tired to go back and try to figure out what I missed!
Ya... I just noticed they changed the website, it's look awesome (compared to the old one)!!
C-ya!

After looking through the demo for Auto Setup, it appears that you can set up different plans (good thing) to assign to users. For those of you who are using this product, how do you manage the users and which plan they get? Do you have a different URL for each plan? Or do you have to set the plan after they have signed up? Also, how do you keep someone from signing up for multiple plans? I was thinking that the signup page could be stripped of its address bar, etc. to keep someone from bookmarking it... or is this even a problem. The application looks like it is a great addition, however I would like to have my managment strategy worked out before purchasing.
Also, on a different note, how do you currently manage the number of mySQL databases that someone can have? Do you create the database for them manually as they request it? (For those who get more than one...)
Thanks again for your help,
Johnathan Brandon
