OK -- I currently have a dedicated server with Superb.net and I'm unhappy and want to move. I'm looking for recommendations.

I want to rent a dedicated server or have someone rent me space for my own server. I'm running RedHat 7 and I presently have 2 30 gig ide drives. Space is more important than speed. 800mhz pentium 3 and 512 megs of ram. Needing around 50-100 gigs a month transfer but think it's going to grow to 150 gig/month soon. So I'm looking for a low bandwith price.

I'm also looking for a host with a knowledgable staff so that if something happens they can bring it back up. For the most part --- I'm self sufficient.

I'm located in San Francisco --- so I guess it's a plus to be driving distance from here.

I'm also the system admin for the Electronic Frontier Foundation. My personal content is mostly political and cutting edge free speech -- some adult topics but not a porn site. Looking for a good deal. Wanting to move in the next 30 days.

My site includes http://www.churchofreality.org http://www.flagburning.org http://www.overthrowthegovernment.org http://www.bartcop.com and several other sites.

You may want to list your price range too.

I would check out:

OK --- My price range --- I currently own the computer -- I'm paying $300/month which includes 50 gigs of transfer and 2 hours of service. Then I'm paying $135/50 gigs after that.

Ah okay, so you want to colo the box..

You may want to contact venturesonline like I previously stated or the following companies:

www.pwebtech.com
www.site5.com
www.liquidweb.com
www.interserver.net
www.burst.net

You may also want to look through the advertising section since I believe a few hosts were offering free 1u colo's. (that's if your box is a 1u)

If you must be in the SF Area than you are really limiting your choices. But if SF area is not a must. You world is wide open and your pricing is not unreasonable which is good. Do you have ICQ or AIM?

Although it would be nice to have physical access --- it's not necessary. My current server is in Washington DC -- 3000 miles from me.
