Any cheap yearly host, that doesn't use fasthosts.co.uk or donhost.co.uk or interhosts.co.uk... no resellers from them, but any other cheap host that HAVE their own servers?

I am on a search for a host... and this is going to be a good profound search.

I will post on all the ones I find.

They are based in the UK and cost about 13 pounds / year.

I had a domain hosted with them for a brief period of time and found their support to be very decent.

Good Luck.

Hostyard, sounds the best to me, but I heard they have too much downtime, I can't access the boards right now.

What are your needs?
Space, bandwidth, pop accounts?

200 - 500MB Space.

About 3-5GB bandwith.

At least 20 POP3

and of coarse, mySQL with PHP.

15 Subdomains.

And that will be my perfect host.

Change the looks....

At least the bottom, I can see you tried to make it your best. But do something original... always pops out good.

I don't go to start a stupid discussion here.
But take a look at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum.
There is a section of Forums using vbulletin.
Just look some there.. and you'll see that most of the forums are very similar.
And yes... I pick up some good ideas from here.
That is bad?

I couldn't agree more, I have an account there since october and find them very professional. They will soon move to a datacenter in the UK, the announcement on their site sounds promising and as far as I know they'll be able to maintain the low prices

I'm a little late on this thread but I have a site with HostYard and I like them. The board downtime does not affect my site at all. The QWKMon check on my site is showing a current 98.72% up time and that is the lowest it's been in months (has been 99+%). The server is fairly fast and Dylan is quite responsive when I have a need.

I'd say, give them a serious look.

go to www.webhostdir.com and look under unix budget hosting.

The question then...

1. Is the list of their best hosts for the price?

or

2. The hosts that paid the most for the advertisment with them?

Seeing that Addr.com is on the list, I pick choice 2.
