I know lots of you have your therioes on the kid, but I 100% back my words, and declare them all to be true. Shang, goes by Guadelupe Milk. Go to anyone who knows a bit about texas history, and ask them what Guadelupe means to them. If you did I'm sure you would heAR a few replies about Hunt, Texas. In Hunt is SITUATED one of the largest rivers in texas, only MILES from Mexico called the Guadelupe River. I believe Daniel Milk is his father, who funds everything. And around 14 years ago named his son after the river which is only a 45 minute ride from where he "lives." NOW COME ON PEOPLE, WHO NAMES THERE KIDS AFTER RIVERS?! A good friend of mine runs a large camp in Hunt Texas, and he struck my interest. In may he asked if I wanted to be a counselor. He mailed off the roster of campers, and I told him "No" One night in early June I stumble over the list. I was sick and bored, and for the hell of it I read some names. Towards the Center of the page,
GUADELUPE MILK Daniel Milk Celia Milk.

Jesus Christ I said! :)
I highly doubt this is a coincidence, Shang at a Christian boys camp to praise the lord on sundays and shoot guns, and play with sharp objects. With no computers to rip anybody off with etc... So let my story cohere with yours, and figure out where this doumbass kid is.
Also, if you want to go hurt Shang or cause pain in any way whatsoever, here is the website of his summer camp. www.campstewart.com

I'll admit this is a pretty funny interpretation, but I'm afraid you might have seen Arlington Road a few too many times.

Who names their kid after rivers? Well, no-one. Not even Daniel Milk.

Guadalupe is a pretty common Spanish female name. If you read the mammoth post on Shang's activities, you'll find that Guadalupe Milk has been referenced as his mother's name. No big surprise there.

I hope you're not seriously contemplating harassing this kid. Get your money back, fine. But you go around harassing a 14-year-old boy, and getting all your buds to do it too, and who comes off as the adult in the situation? Get your money back and be done with it or file a lawsuit, but leave the posse and the lynch mob in the old West.

Speaking of, I am a proud native Texan. I'll be the first to let you know that even when someone wrongs us in the great Lone Star State, we let bygones be bygones and we do not pick on little kids. Leave the *ss-whooping to the parents.

He would just put them in the electric chair :)

It'll be interesting to see how this thing turns out. I think someone should just ring his doorbell and talk to him :)

i don't know why you guys are so pissed at shang.

It was only $20.
I bet most of you will spend more than $20 per week.
Besides, I don't think it was entirely Shang's fault that tacidhost shut down.
Fasthosts shut him down

Just get a refund from him and get it over with

no need for hate to last so long

$20 may not seem like much here in the US, in other countries that's a lot of money

also, it was $20 per account, i know people that had 2, 3 sometimes even 7 accounts....that's a lot of money

I'm not out to defend this guy but if I spend 20 bucks (and sometimes I do) for a host, there is a fair risk that that the host won't be around when the year is up. I still can't understand why so many are shocked that this guy went under. As the old saying goes...if it looks too good to be true...

True. You do get what you pay for and buyer beware, but that doesn't mean people should let him continue to get away with it.

Hmm. this will probably make a few people unhappy, but here goes...

Your all pissed off about getting screwed out of your $20. You should look at this as a $20 lesson! I mean didn't you find it funny that $20 gets you one year of hosting??? Come on people, be real $20 for a year?

I disagree
For $20, Shang could've hosted your site for a year since he got a lot of customers and fasthosts was only 50 per month Brithish pounds

exactly! he was reselling remember?? He could have charged $5 per year and still made profit if he wanted to. Shang was making money by volume sales.

Actually I stand behind what I said, I mean sure Shang was making money, but look now... He is out of business.

I'm guessing that there *might* be a few companies that actually have a deal like this. 99% of offers like these are just too good to be true, or are from people looking to make quick money and not care in the long run.

I also agree with that statement, my only problem is that Shang defrauded customers out of lots of money, again, if the numbers he posted were correct he made about $40K . There are businesses that charge less than $50/year and still make money-these business make up the remaining .0001% of the businesses that seem too good to be true and 99.9999% they are.

Tacid could have been successful had Shang been honest and outgoing. Once he started lying and spamming-that's where he messed up, that's why we all hate him so much. We don't hate him because he charged only $20, we hate him because he charged $20 for nothing but lies, delays, and no service.

I agree with bigmattyh,

Guadelupe is a very popular mexican name, and is a small mexican town in Phoenix about 5 miles away from me. It's very common. Nice try though.
