I am woundering if anyone using the Smart Hosting Tool controller has had this problem. My problem is, EVERYTHING IS GONE!!!! My sites are still on the server and work fine, but the control panel is messed up. My login to the admin section was lost and was somehow reset to the default login. Everything including settings, packages, billing info, and domain records were lost. None of my domain's control panels have links in them and I cannot find the backup, even though I think I did back it up using the backup tool from the admin control panel. And no, I did not make ANY changes in the system. It just happened! Any advice?

Well, the control panel doesn't start deleting things on its own, so you or someone else must have done something with the server which caused this.
You can simply replace your back-up you (should have) made in the control panel. Just click on the Back-up button, where you can see the location of the CP + mySQL backup.

Something or someone did. I just woke up and it was blank. It is not like I deleted anything. The websites are still working, so I guess I need to get rid of those. How should I do that? The IP addresses will have to be reassigned and all of the sites will be lost.

Very strange.
If you do not have a backup, do not delete the websites or IPs. Just leave the websites working.
Collect the info about the website that you have running on that server and email that to me. I'll then email you instructions on how to get the data back in the SHC. Without downtime for the websites.

After some investigation, we found out that his box was hacked, and the hacker (actually I should say cracker) damaged the system files seriously and the HD might have to be formatted.

Yeah. It does. But Smart Hosting Tools has been great with fixing my problems and I know this will get fixed as well.
