Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening:

Has anyone heard of LinuxWebNet.Com (http://www.linuxwebnet.com/)? Their co-location prices are excellent and their phone representatives seem knowledgeable about their company.

I would like some input from anyone who has had any experiences with them.

I found out it is a 2 person company hosting roughly 90 servers. They told me because of their recent growth, they will be expanding their staff.

Their NOC is not staffed 24/7 however. Apparently, they have safeguards, etc. in place so they will be notified when some is wrong. The staff is on call 24/7 to respond to problems. There's a number clients are given to call if something is wrong.

The average response time to fix a problem (during night hours) is roughly an hour.

However, for $99.95 per month for a mini tower space, 50 gigs of bandwidth, and a nice backbone connection...it seems worth it.

Your thoughts?

Thanks!

There dedicated servers are also great prices! I just configured one and it came out at around $180 a month. Pretty good :)

Linuxwebnet.com site seems to be down. Their network passes through SkyNetWeb.com and their IPs are owned by SkyNetWeb.com. They could either be SkyNetWeb's reseller or they co-locate their machines with SkyNetWeb.

Most companies who have thier own NOC, have someone in it 24/7. Personally, I don't see how they could expand their staff and pay them with just 90 customers.

They also offer virtual web hosting and dedicated servers, not just co-locating.

Web site works here and is pingable.

I can access their site now. Their offerings and customization script are versy similar to SkyNetWeb.com. Most likely they resell for SkyNetWeb.

The pings start getting higher, but that's because a lot of people are on the cable modem network right now. My speeds are not as fast during the daytime.

Just wanted to clarify some points made earlier on this thread. Linuxwebnet is located in the same building as Skynetweb in Baltimore. We do not share the same noc but do share the same fiber and backbone providers comming into the building. We operate as a seperate business and only buy bandwidth from them to our NOC. We also have a totally seperate connection from sprint.
