Need a RAQ3 on 4Webspace.com, like urgent.

Notice that they've been out of stock for about four weeks (?).

Can't get any ETA.

Im not sure why they are always out, INgram Micro and Tech data too major distributors always have a couple in stock...

With their volume they probably negiotated a deal with Sun Cobalt directly rather than using a wholesale distributor.

yeah, i think i remember seeing steve say they get it from sun directly. they are getting more shipments soon from a post i've seen of his. if you really want one, i suggest ordering one and then that will get you a spot in their queue.

I know they are getting them from SUN direct, but I would think they would order from 3rd partys to accomodate users rather than loose business???

4webspace is a good company so if you can stick it out you should do it :)

Depends on what kinda discount they're getting from Sun. It may cost them more to buy the servers from a 3rd party to get a new customer than not get the new customer at all.

I'm guessing big-time purchasers get very nice discounts from Sun.

That might depend upon the price that 4WS has to pay for the servers from the other distributors.

If the price is significantly higher than 4WS has to pay from Cobalt direct, then I don't think that the profit margin is there.

The difference is only a 100.00 or so....

but really thats not the point, i understand 4webspace's delays rakcs are hard to come by now a days, even from 3rd party vendors, so im not trying to be mean....

I think 4webspace should just take their website down until they are back in the race for customers or forward the site to tera-byte.com. I am a bit tired of hearing the excuses from Steve and crew of when they will be getting raqs in...

actually i said i would get raq's on monday last week and i did and the note on my website will remain indefinately, i dont want to remove the note because even with the note i still get about 15 new raq orders a day without it i would be getting closer to 45 new orders which i cant handle.

Why don't you check Dialtone Internet's wholesale offers. They've got good prices on RAQs.

if you're in a real rush, why not try RackShack? From what's posted on these boards, they are reliable and pretty stable.
