The site I am acquiring has hosting through InetU and I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about them. I was planning on going to venturesonline.com but they have a really good deal hooked up with InetU for a box. I would appreciate any comments about them...

We once signed up for a shared NT account with them.

One of our regular Linux clients wanted NT with MSSQL database. The price seemed ok and we signed up.

The regular shared account was fast and seemed ok though it was not used extensively.

The problem came when we tried using the MSSQL Database. There were constant problems in accessing the database. Our client was not satisfied with the support and staff and cancelled the order.

Since we were in the initial first month 'money back' period, we sent a cancellation notice by fax. They never responded back. we tried once again and then after the one month period. At last they responded by canceling our account. A number of emails were also sent during the said period.

However, they did not credit the full amount as per their money back policy and charged us upto the time of third cancellation notice by fax. We refused to pay beyond
the first cancellation notice but they charged our credit card. They also charged again after the cancellation but this was anyway not successful since the card did not have any free limits.

It seemed very messy.

We did search around for feedback about them but just found a few positive ones. These seemed to be however for their Linux services.

Maybe ours was not a typical experience and we just were plain unlucky.

After our client cancelled, we managed to convince them
and got them an NT account with innerhost.com. Now they are happy. Speed is very good and the only problem was during setup when they
created our database on server006 while they informed us that the database resided on server008. We had quite a time trying to figure that one out.

Innerhost are very expensive though. We got that for our client as we anyway did not want to lose their custom and also wanted to keep them happy.
Now we are looking at affordable dedicated NT solutions with SQLServer database access so that we can move this account over.
