I see a variety of people selling pre made webdesign templates. This concept ashtonishes me, the price they are asking for them I mean. So i was wondering, maybe I should charge for my services as well. However, I would like to explore the opportunities before indulging myself in such activities. So I was wondering if you guys how you would advertise templates? Are there sites? If so, which ones? How do you find interested people? It seems like it would be easier to find a needle in a haystack than a person who would buy a layout for $300 or something preposterous. Anyway, your thoughts and advertising options are welcome! THanks!

your best bet for advertising is always to start locally and work your way out. I find that this holds true regardless of what service(s) you are advertising for.
Start with local newspapers, grocery store BB's etc. As well, Local competition is usually not as harsh as that witch you encounter on the net, so finding someone to pay 300$ for a template is easier (on the local market). If these options dont quite cut it for you then I would suggest doing a search about "advertising" on these forums. I am sure you will find tons of posts regarding the subject:)

When you say neighborhood businesses do you mean like kroger or eckerd or winn dixie and stuff like that? Just camp out and see if people want to get a template?
