Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing a dedicated server from Escalade Networks (www.escaladenet.com), who I believe were formerly Syntex Networks. Does anyone have any experiences with them? I've searched this forum, the web, and dejanews but haven't found much.

They seem to have the best machine for $100/mo that I've found (128 ram, 20 gb hard disk, AMD 750). I'm also considering their $50/mo for the the Cyrix III machine -- even though the processor is junk with no L2 cache and crappy FPU, I'm not looking for something fancy. I just need something to run my low-traffic personal web site, and an IMAP server for my e-mail. Network speed isn't even a huge concern -- the most important thing is uptime.

If anyone could give me some information about them I'd appreciate it!

Thanks,
David

dharaburda, I know this is not the answer to your original question, but if you're only using it for a personal home page and IMAP for email, why don't you consider going with a shared hosting solution?

David,

The owner of that company ryan champion has been banned by the forum moderators ,also i read on a thread some time ago that a wht member had ordered a server from them which he did not get for over 7-10 days because they could not install the Os.

Be careful is my advise
