I registered, or attempted to register, 2 domains with Dotster yesterday. I still haven't received confirmation and the domains are still showing as available. Usually, the confirmation arrives in 10 minutes or less. Anybody else having problems with Dotster this weekend?

Hello, I use dotster to register several of my domain names. I never had a problem getting an email saying that it was registered and put on my credit card. You might want to email them or call them explain that you signed up w/ them and never got a comformation. Also if you just registered the domain names it can take up to 72 hours for a domain to register in the whois directory. go to www.networksolutions.com and find the whois link. Type in your in domain name and see if its available or if you own it. Another thing if you havent' registered a domain name with dotster before then you should of got a username and password to log in. If you can log in check to see if your email address you typed in was correct and all the information matchs up.

I have had some people tell me the smae thing seems they got h what looks like the final page and it has one more button on the bottom to "Finish Registration"

the other thing is to just go and reregister them again if you see they did not come off

I think Dotster has tightned up their credit card verification a lot lately, in that some legitimate orders are not going through if everything isn't perfect. Make sure all your credit card information is correct (i.e., the billing address you enter *exactly* matches the billing address for the credit card).

In my experience, if I don't get a confirmation within a few minutes of placing the order, the order didn't go through.

Well, it appears back to normal today. I went out and registered both of them again and had the invoices via email in a minute or so. Not sure what was going on with Dotster yesterday, maybe these fat fingers typed in the wrong cc number but I would have had to typed it incorrectly two times.
