Hello,

I have a client who just has one mail id on his domain. His WEbmail works perfectly. But when he tries to access the mail from Out look express, he gets invalid user name or password error !,

Only this domain has this problem.

Waiting for help !

Has he put in his full email address in ACCOUNT NAME in OE?
Has he got the correct POP and SMTP setting? ( mail.hisdomain.com) ?

So you cannot send or receive, or you just can't send?

Have you tried logging into cpanel and just changing the pw and trying again?

No receive/no Send using a mail client. Tried deleting the mail account, recreated it. Changed pass using cpanel, no use. Then SSH'd and deleted the mail folders and then recreated the email account.. but no use.

Also tried /scripts/fixpop

Again no use. But webmail remains perfectly accessible.

Is it just your client having difficulty with using OE, or have you tried setting up the email account in your own OE? Do other email accounts work in your OE while this one doesn't?

I tried OE and POCO too.. Same errors on both clients. The client has tried on OE and has no problem accessing his other accounts on the same domain.

This one sure has got us stumped :D
