joshivivek 06-09-2001, 04:28 PM depends on the offer.
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 04:33 PM I joined with them two days ago, for their plan IV, let me know what kind of deal you are getting, maybe i will try getting the deal tooo :D :D :D
qslack 06-09-2001, 04:33 PM Check this thread (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11928).
Billy 06-09-2001, 04:58 PM He said I could get Plan 3 with 2 extra gigs of bandwidth per month for 85$.
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 05:08 PM not bad, sign up
also i have a question for pablo, one domain is free when you register correct.
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 05:27 PM dont know if they registered my domain yet
Billy 06-09-2001, 05:31 PM I also emailed him to ask if I get a domain name registered free...he hsnt replied yet.
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 05:54 PM well it better be, because that's what it said on their website, and he hasnt replied to my email either how longer before he responds, perhaps the current members of hosturbo could fill us on this.
Thanks
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 05:56 PM I better save a copy of their website before they change their mind :D
Billy 06-09-2001, 06:19 PM I wonder how many parkings/pointers I can get.
Get-Hosted.com 06-09-2001, 07:32 PM I doubt you get a free domain. They register it for free, they don't pay the internic fees. Many hosts advertise a free domain, but note that the free excludes internic fees.
Billy 06-09-2001, 07:36 PM This is probably a stupid question...but what exactly are Internic fees?
Planet Z 06-09-2001, 07:44 PM Originally posted by Billy

The actual cost of registering the domain. The term is misused, since no one actually pays a fee directly to Internic anymore. It used to be that all domain were registering with NetworkSolutions (aka Internic). So everyone had to pay Internic when they registered a domain ($70 for 2 years) However, NetSol lost its monopoly a while ago. Internic became the organazation that maintains the central database of domains. Now there are numerous registrars (NetSol is now one of them) that will register domains, all for different prices. Each one of these registrars pays Internic a standard fee for each domain that they register.
So in short, there is no standard "Internic fee" for end-users anymore.
Billy 06-09-2001, 07:48 PM So whats the difference between registering and internic fees?
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 07:52 PM according to Hosturbo, go check out their website, you get a free domain name regsitration, and there is nothing more so they say about it, they better include the name regsitration as it is their fault for wrong advertisement.
Billy 06-09-2001, 07:57 PM It's been 4 hours and he hasnt replied yet.
But we shouldnt be harsh...its really cheap.
joshivivek 06-09-2001, 08:40 PM Maybe I should do support for him :D
Or do you think he is avoiding us :D
I like to start rumours :D :D
Billy 06-09-2001, 09:13 PM I really think hes the only ON the support team.It seems like a 1-man band.
Its been 6 hourse and he still hasnt replied. :(
smash 06-09-2001, 09:19 PM "Registering" ususally means filling our the form at the registrar's website.
This is at least what most web hosts means when offering free domain registration. They simply fill our the form for you.
Between, you have to make sure they register your domain under YOUR name. I've seen web hosts register your domain for free, but they register the domain under their name and you have no control over it. If you want to leave them they may not release your domain..
Good luck
xjeffx 06-09-2001, 09:34 PM I don't see anything about a free domain with their service anywhere. I allready had mine. I just signed up for their service a couple nights ago. It's great! Tons of features, the cpanel is great. My shopping cart program wasn't set up right but I contated their tech support on thier website and they fixed it in about a day. The replies were always answered within a couple of hours.
So far the service has been much better than I would expect for the price. I got plan II, at $29.95 a year. Look at the features, it's amazing!
Don't cry about the domain, they're so cheap you shouldn't get one anyway for that price. Just pick one up at godaddy.com for $8.95 for one year. Can't beat that!
Jedito 06-09-2001, 09:44 PM Maybe you don't know :)
But I have good news for you.
You pay only $29.95 for a year
not for a month :D

joshivivek 06-10-2001, 02:14 AM That is because I just registered it earlier today, so I am out of 9 dollars because I did not hear back from you, but thanks for your reply, you need to get rid of that fee domain registration line then from your feature list on www.hosturbo.com. Do you want to give me extra bandwith or additional hardrive space as a compensatation, please I know you must hate me by now, I am real jerk :D I know that but ever since I got screwed from www.tacidhost.com after registering with them 10 days ago and losing the cash, and losing the domain name www.elitegalaxy.com with them really made me a jerk. Once again thanks, I would really appreciate it, and ohh yeah, if you give me access to the live tech support on www.hosturbo.com I would help users to best of my knowlege that are interested in your hosting offer. I am basically live infront of the computer the whole day, untill I complete my courses, so let me know I wont dis-appoint you.
Thank You

koolguru 06-10-2001, 02:21 AM There was no promise for Free Domain Name we only Promised Free Domain Registeration, the difference between the 2 have been explained above. So I Dont Think there is any question of refund. sorry.
we are still ready to register a domain if he wants but no refunds.
koolguru 06-10-2001, 02:23 AM Just Sent An Email Regarding Compensation.
Another Think The Free Domain Registration Has Been Changed to Cheap Domain Name Registeration on our website.
