I'm looking for a Windows 2000 dedicated server with the following config/features and any help in the right direction would be appreciated:

800MHz+ CPU
256MB RAM
10GB+ Hard Drive
75GB/Month Traffic
Mail Server for Unlimited Accounts on Unlimited Domains
MS SQL Server
Name Server
PC Anywhere
Unlimited Domain
10-20 IP Addresses

Price Range: $250

Currently. I'm looking at ECUI but their setup charges are kinda high. Efree Server doesn't provide any software! Everyone else seems VERY expensive

Thanks
Abbas

$250 a month would be a very good deal (almost too good?) for that type of server w/ Win2k, at least from what I've seen.

Good luck for $250. Windows OS alone cost's just under that for the license. Plus the hardware and bandwidth. If you find a solid provider with that let me know.

Windows 2000 + SQL Server are very expensive, over $1500 just in software.

Maybe you could get $250/month if you paid a $2000 "install fee".

Also: Ditch PCAnywhere, just more $ to spend. Use Windows 2000's free built-in Windows Terminal Server. Much faster too.

I would not be so quick to dump PCAnywhere. Terminal Server does have it limitations.

For example, if you have a program that runs in the systray under the administrator you will not be able to access it via Terminal Client. But, Terminal Server is much faster that PCAnywhere so we run both :)
