Servstra-Sales 03-22-2003, 04:29 AM You might like to do a search of the forums, as I think this topic was only recently discussed. TeKiZeRo 03-22-2003, 05:48 AM I recommend ModernBill :D CatchyHost-Royi 03-22-2003, 05:56 AM I recommend ModernBill & PerlBill :) Eric Lim 03-22-2003, 06:01 AM I've used ModernBill for a while but decided to remove it from my server. There are several reasons why I did that. Very complicated order form for me and my clients, but you can create your own. Maybe the problem comes from I use ModernBill with 2Checkout.com, not too sure why it is so hard for me. Control panel has a very heavy interface, I believe they have a lighter theme that looks much better. Their documentation simple just sucks. Most of the time is you have to figure out yourself by looking at some support forums to get what you want to know. Their support is pretty bad too, both at their forums and support systems. My clients don't use it at all. They deal directly with 2checkout.com when their credit cards information have changed. So I think there is no point to have the leased program with me. I would still say the software is powerful, as it covers more function that other softwares don't. It would definitely take you a little while to just configure and make the system up and run. It took me almost a week or so. Hope that helps you to make a decision. NexDog 03-22-2003, 07:17 AM I want a straightforward cl;ient management system too. Don't need it integrated with anything at. When we get new clients, I just want to insert them into a simple database that lists all clients in 12 tables, one for each month and alphabetically in each table. Just holds their info and reminds us when they are due and if they upgrade early or renew early, they get moved to the new table which governs when someone is due for renewal. Haven't found anything so I'm just going to write my own I think. Host-Tec 03-22-2003, 02:34 PM I like modernbill, but It is easier to integrate perl (bill or desk) in to a site than Mb. With that in mind, I like modernbill. Because once you have in configured and setup properly, it is very powerful. VNPIXEL 03-22-2003, 02:37 PM modernbill. no question about it. CatchyHost-Royi 03-22-2003, 02:56 PM ModernBill is the best & also PerBill VNPIXEL 03-22-2003, 02:59 PM if i am not wrong, Perlbill doesn't direct link to make payment to 2checkout like phpmanager right? CatchyHost-Royi 03-22-2003, 03:02 PM I think it does, because when i used PerlBill, My clients who paid by 2checkout had a direct link to pay. hilda 03-22-2003, 04:53 PM Originally posted by NexDog I want a straightforward cl;ient management system too. Customizable fields, reminders, data import/export, custom reports, nice interface. Not integrated with anything but the flexible data import/export feature makes up for lack of integration. We use it for client management and are very happy with it. |
