Hi folks,

I'm considering using UltraDNS to provide DNS for webhostingtalk.com, has anyone had any experience with them, especially their billing?

I used them with the beta about a year ago and was impressed with the setup. Has much changed?

What are the benifits of using this service, i have nearly 200 hundred domains so this would prove expensive.

If i become a domain reseller even more expensive and i don't how they help? do you get your own proper nameserver instead of personal one?

i had good experiences with them during the beta also, but i think easydns is a better service, they have like 4 servers throughout the world and are less expensive.

I don't have access to the article at the moment..I believe it was in InfoWorld but their search engine is down at this time.

The gist of the article was they just laid off something like 45% of their staff, but it was to make sure they had enough funding for the rest of the year.

The article went on to say that they've landed some really big deals in the last few months and their proprietary DNS server (not based on BIND) is quite superior.

Personally, I've never used them but thought you might find this informative.

If I can find the article referenced, I'll post a followup.

Good luck!
