Based on the traceroute, it looks like their Sprint link is down. Could be their fault, could be Sprint's fault.

No, actually we were not down....just one rack was.
Just an emergency problem with one of our racks...a UPS went bad.
Had to shut it down and replace the UPS completely.

Hi Sean, thanks for clearing that up. I know how things like that can happen.

Yeah....hardware problems do occur...especially with new stuff.
UPS systems in particular are the biggest problem we have had in our new data center.
I think we have had about 40% of them bad from all of the ones we purchased.
And we have tried and purchased several brands, so it is not manufacturer specific.

RMA!!!!

Jeez. What type of UPS's are you using? We used to go the 500-900VA UPS route and had about 20 of them. We only had one go bad (and that's only because of a goofy tech that plugged the UPS into itself).

Now all it's all hardwired. (All the outlets go directly into a couple main UPS systems). It's much neater and also conserves a lot of space.

These are a mix of 3000VA and 5000VA rackmount UPS systems.
Used APC, Tripp-Lite, and Minuteman so far...
These are all higher end UPS systems, that use L5-30 style power plugs.

Our data center IS NOT down. Just one rack was down.
We had another problem with a UPS system last night about 6am EST on one single rack.
We replaced it temporarily with a smaller UPS at that time.
We just replaced it with a larger new one a few minutes ago.
Unfortunately to replace such, the whole rack needs to get powered down again.
Needless to say, we are pulling any other UPS from this same batch (two bad so far) from usage ASAP.
