Search this forum for "regsiter.com" and you'll know the answer. heartless 03-20-2003, 06:16 PM oops. Thanks. Will try and not be so newbieish. nameslave 03-20-2003, 06:24 PM Sorry, the kidding part is NOT directed to your asking but that you are actually considering Regsiter.com. ;) Incognito 03-20-2003, 06:24 PM Is Register.com okay? The one word answer is NO! Not as bad as netsol, but really difficult to deal with. Use Dotster, GoDaddy, an OpenSRS reseller, an ENOM reseller, or Stargate before you use register.com. 777 03-20-2003, 07:47 PM mmmmmm.... Firstly very expensive, secondly...well that is already enough, isn't it? PositiveHost 03-20-2003, 11:30 PM You can find better service for less money. You may want to consider: Godaddy.com dotster.com etc. TheMMIz 03-21-2003, 12:13 AM Hi, I hope I can offer you some more insight on the matter. I registered my first domain with Register.com for $85 a year including domain forwarding. I have found the service to be MUCH better for under $15 a year at the following places. Ive registered multiple domains at each, and have used most all for over a year. AQDomains.com - They are an eNom reseller. You get all the features of enom.com (that charges $30 a year) for $8.95 a year. You cant beat that. RegisterFly.com - Another enom reseller who I have most of my domains with. They charge $9.95 and have a few more options than AQDomains with live support chat. Now that I mentioned both of those, neither offers live telephone support like Register.com. You will avoid a lot of hassles going with one of those, another eNom reseller, or an openSRS reseller. Do a search on these forums and you'll find this topic has been discussed many times before. After I found RegisterFly I transfered my domains and never used Register.com again. Hope that helps, let us know if you need any more specific information, I know I kinda babbled on. Good luck. -Matt |
