I want to run the dotster API from my own site but my current host won't let me run the Coldfusion, JSP or ASP because they require .dll registration etc.
Does anyone know a host that allows this and is really cheap?

Does Dotster offer PHP, CGI or other *nix based alternatives to access their API?

I am not sure what you mean. The dotster api is called by something like https://www.registerapi.com/rapi/style1/Register/default.asp - what has this to do with your host? Its just a link...

I think that he is talking about this
http://www.dotster.com/programs/API/
and you only need jdk installed in the server I think.

hmm. i downloaded it last week, and it definetly supports PHP\\
The reason you have the one with the coldfusion and such is because you download the .ZIP file, if you download the .tar version it is completely different. .ZIP is for deployment on windows like it says :-)
