As far as i understand psa modifies heavily the default configuration files in linux like httpd etc etc.
So i was wondering how feasible it is to add s/w like tomcat and jdk on those machines with psa,
Any users out here who have sucessfully installed jdk or tomcat on their plesk servers please throw some light,

If you look in their PDF user manual @ http://www.plesk.com/images/upload/PSA_131_Manual_01_25_01.pdf on page 97 it has an appendix titled apache notes. and goes into detail how the apache files are configured. I don't think you will have a problem with what you plan to do.
Oh yeah, Plesk does not modify the default config files it totally replaces them under /usr/local/plesk.
from experiance do not have mysql installed when you run the setup script or the script will fail.
If you really want to know for sure about your question contact plesk, they are very helpful.

Yes i emailed to them also and got a very prompt reply from them :) . I am quoting their email below.

While PSA does customize several applications we have customers
implementing third party applications every day. In an effort to
accommodate this further we are designing our next release to be as flexible
as possible.
a) Jdk - not know if any customers have implemented this but my support team
here says it should be possible
b) Tomcat - we customers running this on servers also running PSA
Info from my support team:
I believe java servlets will work with PSA's implementation of Apache.
Please follow the instructions for installing javaservlets on a standard
Apache webserver. I believe you must install mod_jserv as a DSO module
before you can install third-party java servlet package (Tomcat). Here's a
link to a FAQ on our website about making changes to the Apache
configuration file:
http://www.plesk.com/faq/category.php?id=6#98. This also explains the
nature of PSA's Apache configuration file.
c) iASP - we also have customers running this and I can try to gather more
information if you are interested.
I hope this helps and please let me know if I can do anything else for you.

They seem to be a nice company , and Psa also does seem to be a stable product.
Lets see May be i will try and tinker around one one the weekends on a local server and try to figure out.
But feedback from WHT users who are actually using the same shall be really valuable.
