View Full Version : In search of UK domain registrar

Hiya all,

I have spent the last few weeks looking around the net, and well I am searching for a reputable domain registrar, that is reliable, and well worth the money that is needed to register a domain.

Please do not pm me with suggestions, they will just be deleted.

I have looked at american based companies, such as godaddy, but I would rather the domains in question registered in the UK, where I will then be able to personally chase up any issues that may occur in the future.

Thank you,

Ionsurge.

www.xreg.co.uk
www.123-reg.co.uk

Both are reputable companies doing UK domain registrations at excellent prices.

opensrs also does .uk with there reseller accounts. Enom plan to intruce the UK registry very soon.

Thanks, but I have been looking at those already, and they do not really tickle my nose...

I done some more scraping around, and came across these:

www.compila.com

and

www.ukreg.com

Which one of these shall I go with?

I would rate my two suggestions above both of those. So cannot recommend either.. sorry.

How come? I have had personal experience with 123reg, ukreg and xReg but I rank www.xreg.co.uk the highest in terms of support, control and price.

What exactly does "tickle your nose"?

Not much really, I'll go with xreg then.

Thanks blob2 and UH-Matt.
