The domain needs to propagate worldwide Sydney 06-06-2001, 10:44 PM I never knew we were allowed to register nameservers...what are the advantages of this? Is it easy to ask hosting compaies to use our own nameservers or does it involve a lot? Please enlighten me? Chicken 06-06-2001, 10:53 PM Well first, you have to have nameservers to register (or alias another set of name servers), two IP's etc. If you were a host, you'd run nameservers, or a reseller might want aliased nameservers at least. edude 06-06-2001, 11:15 PM Yes :) and i'm a host so my nameservers are: Name Server: ns.valuablehost.com Name Server IP: 66.54.221.129 Secondary Name Server: ns2.valuablehost.com Secondary Name Server IP: 66.54.221.130 So they have to be registered in the registry so i can have my users (clients), run their domains thru them. etc....
