I emailed ActiveWebHosting.com about their supposed "Unlimited bandwidth, Unlimited Space." Here's what I wrote:

I've been to many forums on web hosting, and I've learned that
it's basically impossible to provide customers with unlimited bandwidth, or
unlimited anything. What would the highest amount of bandwidth be before you
cancel someone's account? What about highest amount of space? And how are
you able to provide this?

They replied:

Active Web Hosting currently operates on a 7 mbit fiber optic data line.
This data line must be balanced between all of our customers. We do not sell
bandwidth. Unlike many of the other companies who cancel or bill large
penalties, Active Web Hosting does not.

We have found that hard drives are cheap. If you need more space than a hard
drive can handle we will bind two of them together.

So... hmm...

If you have read around here you will see this is a loosing argument. Just take it on your own that they obviously cannot provide what they say they can and you should just look for a more reputable host to go with rather than arguing with them over "unlimited"

You could prob sign up with that account and push 5-10GB a month with no problem but start pushing 20-30GB and see what happens.

Hmmm.

contract (http://www.activewebhosting.com/webhostingcontract.asp)

9. Termination and Expiration
a. Hosting cannot be canceled within the first 30 days of service.
b. Customer agrees to pay a $30 domain registration fee for any domain that is canceled with in the first 90 days of service and transferred to another hosting company.

15. Bandwidth
a. Bandwidth is defined as the connection speed to the Internet. Active Web Hosting provides direct connection to the Internet at the maximum speed the line provider will allow on the current connection. Customer understands and agrees that all customers on the service share the bandwidth provided by Active Web Hosting. Customer also agrees that no private, dedicated, or guaranteed bandwidth is provided for customers use.
b. The use of bandwidth is for transmitting of web pages and web page content. This is to include all objects that are used in the proper display of web site content. This does not include software distribution, high activity graphic files, music, video, executable, nor compressed file distribution. ;)
