Hello,

I've recently bought a scsi drive (quantum) and a scsi controller (tekram).

I've installed redhat 7.3 on it, but it won't boot into the OS. It just hangs at the screen that has a list of all IRQ's and what's using them.

At the scsi controller setup screen i sthere anything i should so other than the defaults? Such as what should i put as the SCSI ID, the SCSI Boot ID, and the LUN?

any help is appreciated thanks

Does your bootup has initrd in it? Check /etc/grub.conf or /etc/lilo.conf (either one) and see if there's a initrd line for the bootup.

Well I guess this isn't just the SCSI, as an IDE machine isn't booting either. Maybe it's my installation of RH 7.3? I'll check lilo.conf now

Yes it has initrd with the path of the boot image
