Hi guys..

can you tell me who the cheapest registrar is?
I currently use GKG.net who happen to be 10 bucks ayear, but I want to sign up for a reseller web hosting account with iCUservices, and I want to use my own nameserver.

ns1.mycrappydomain.com
ns2.mycrappydomain.com

Now, I don't think GKG.net allows this.
Which is the cheapest OpenSRS registrar..I've seen 1 for 13.50..Is that the cheapest? Are there non OpenSRS registrar who will allow me to do this?

Thanks.

Stargate (http://www.stargateinc.com) I'm pretty sure gives you name servers.

They have $8 reg. and if your in affiliate you get $1 per sale.

Godaddy.com is cheap but everything is extra. You have to pay for e-mail, forwarding, etc.

stargateinc.com its all included.

Well, here's the deal.

I'm buying a domain name off this guy. He has agreed to sell it to me. He wants me to start the "paperwork."

I do not know where to start!

He registered the domain name with Register.com
I want to gain ownership of the domain name, and transfer it to the stargateinc.com.

How would I go about accomplishing this, with the LEAST amount of financial consideration. I just elected Starhate Inc, cause I registered a domain name through them.

I was wondering, there are registrars who claim "Free Transfer.." What's the deal with that?

Also, I have another domain name, via Namzero.com (I did not read the stiupulations of a free domain name before I signed up. last year)

I paid for the premium membership, assuming that they will allow me to change the nameserver, but apparently they won't. I assume they would act as a registrar, rather they're basically saying if you want to change the DNS settings, you must transfer it another registrar. I have 2 years left on the domain name. What are my options?

Thanks.

'Free transfer' just means the new registrar won't charge you a fee to transfer the name to them. I can't think of a registrar that *does*. You will however, have to pay one year's worth of registration dues (but it will add another year onto your existing time).

As for the Namezero domain, initiate a transfer at Stargate and you should be fine. You will be able to retain the 2 years, plus get an added year (which you will pay for at the time of initiating the transfer).
