net-trend 03-16-2003, 05:09 AM Gimme the fairlady baby...
i rather buy a acura or toyota, maybe even a lexus......
Walter 03-16-2003, 05:47 AM *sigh*
I can't decide
Chicken 03-16-2003, 06:12 AM I think the Nissan 350Z is slowly turning into the Porsche 911 (see side views and angle front), so I'd have to go with that one.
sprintserve 03-16-2003, 06:28 AM Mitsubishi LanEvo (8 now? )
rusko 03-16-2003, 06:53 AM no way to know until you test drive both. i know the 4 cylinder mazdas are peppy, but weak. keep in mind that you will rarely see the car from the outside, so you better make sure you enjoy driving it =]
the 350z is ok, but will never turn into a porsche 911 (not even the carrera coupe). If anything, i say nissan was trying to copycat the audi TT....
Mester 03-17-2003, 03:42 PM RX8 I would love to have a twin rotary :)
Caffling 03-17-2003, 03:52 PM No.
creid 03-17-2003, 03:56 PM 3-5-0 ZzZ BabY!
WebDev 03-17-2003, 04:15 PM RX-8.. mmm. rotary.
okihost 03-17-2003, 05:30 PM 350Z...
Only because I have driven both a twin turbo Z and a rx-7 and liked the Z alot better... do these new Z's have turbo?
Mester 03-17-2003, 09:52 PM Z's have no turbo... yet :D
TheQuirk 03-17-2003, 10:06 PM Get the Nissan 350Z.
Why? The seat for the drive is on the wrong side in the Mazda RX-8. :)
okihost 03-17-2003, 11:07 PM prob a euro version I think they also drive on the wrong side of the road and all kinds of other weird stuff over there :D
As a current RX-7 owner I'd have to take the RX-8. They killed the styling on the 300ZX with the 350Z it doesn't look mean and fast anymore.
Mester 03-17-2003, 11:29 PM No not all of Europe, only UK, OKIHost ( plus non-Euro including Japan, NZ, Australia others ? )
Once there is a NorthAmerican RX8 it will be left-hand drive of course.
the Z would be nice, but I prefer Godzilla anyday (aka Porche Killaz, Skyline GTR (R34))
RX-8, as I have a personal (biased) interest in Mazda* ;)
* My workplace does an extensive amount of work for Mazda.... And yes, the RX-8.com.au site was done by us (with yours truly also involved... ;))
Choppy 12-08-2003, 06:25 PM I just bought the RX8.
Im waiting on delivery on it in Feb 10.
I took the BMW 320ci, 350 Z, RX8 and the Audi tt for a test drive and the Mazda was all round the best..
THe 350Z is to dame bouncy.. it felt like a 4*4, prob cause of stiff suspention.. the 320ci lacked some guts.. The Rx8 was nice all around.. Had the space the four doors and all other stuff. The audi tt was over my budget.
Rusko the RX8 is a rotary powered engine.
BC great work on the website. i visted a few times as i did my research..
The car with be in the Sydney Metro area :) eheh
Magdalena 12-08-2003, 06:47 PM RX8 baby
Current owner of a '95 300zx and a '94 RX7 (can you imagine how much theyre worth now? I see them selling for $20k+ now)
insaneraptor 12-08-2003, 06:56 PM 350z, i just prefer nissan over most car companies!
Synthetic 12-08-2003, 06:56 PM I'd go with the Nissan 350Z.

In perfect condition, with ~50,000 miles you might get $17,000 for it. No way you're getting $20,000, unless it has about 5 original miles :D.
I would definately get the RX8.
Unless you've had a Rotary you can't really appreciate them that much (or the price you pay for parts). Not to mention the fact that they tend to die on you at 100,000 miles+... but there's nothing like opening the hood to your car and having someone turn and say "Hey, where are the pistons?" :D
drawfour 12-08-2003, 11:39 PM Gawd thats hard, i'd go the rx8 probably

Sweet ride!! :gthumb:
What's the retail on one of those?
silhouette 12-09-2003, 12:06 AM both look good to me...if I have the $$$:(
web docta 12-09-2003, 12:38 AM Lookswise I prefer the 350Z , however I wouldn't spend my money on a new car. I'd personally buy a used, well taken cared for Porsche instead.
