I'm considering opening a reseller account and have a question about the way databases are handled.

I'm specifically looking at Matrixreseller, but I assume that this question will be applicable to most Win reseller accounts.

How is database space divided by customer/account?

Does each new account under the main account get its own database with separate login, space allotment, etc?

With Matrixreseller, for example, I'm given 350mb diskspace. When I divide that by, say, 10mb per client, can they name and access/alter their databases?

Thank you.

As far as support goes, both of the services I'm looking at have responded helpfully to my questions, and both seem to be about equally rated, here and in their own forums. Both offer different parts of what I'm looking for. Since I'm new to reselling, I'm curious how others, with more experience, have made their decisions.

The services are: gearhost for shared or matrixreseller for reseller.

It may depend on the software used.
With WHM and Cpanel, for example, when you set up each account in WHM, you decide how much storage space and bandwidth will be allowed, how many e-mail accounts, if the account is allowed databases and if so how many, any and how many mailing lists, whether or not the account will have CGI access, etc. You could have 10 accounts, 4 with databases, 6 without.
