Well, seems to be lots of problems with all of them these days. What is the concensus? Who should I consider using now?

Thanks!

You should be getting your own merchant account.

Greater flexibility and you won't be limited by the restrictions visa/mc put on 3rd party processors.

I will do that eventually, but in the meantime I don't have the extra financial resources to purchase one.

I am considering Paypal or 2checkout so far...

You can use 2checkout until you get your own merchant account.
It is not that bad.

paysystems or 2checkout (both have some issues lately, paypall looks uprofessional to me, they all do, but i dislike paypall)

Merchant account is way to go, if you are situated in the US, and have enough funds.

Is there a client and administrative side demo for paysystems? I wasn't able to find a link on their site. Thanks.

Yes - they include a control panel...

you can sign-up for free, and test it- because they work on the basis that you pay for your account to go live
