That all depends on the registrar. It is possible (or was) to get a two letter .be. You simply have to check around at the various registrars to see what their policies are.

As you've noted, nic.at do not allow it.

"Domains made up of fewer than three characters, or other top-level names valid at the time of filing the application (e.g. ".com", ".edu") shall not be allocated below ".at". "

http://nic.st allows this (.st domains), though I'm not sure there are any left, etc. I have one, BC has one, but I don't use mine (yet).

ZYE,

Have a look at http://www.nic.gl/uk/index.html and use the whois located at http://www.nic.gl/cgi-bin/dnscheck.pl
If you get "Domainenavnet (domain).gl er ikke registreret!!!", the domain is available.
To convert DKK into USD, go to http://xe.net/

Hope this helps :-)

Hello
I have a couple of these.
One of them is ZL.VG so it must be possible.

I spent a bit of time collecting domains that I could issue subdomains from and have a small collection:

.corp.nu Commercial Websites
.soc.cx Non Profits, Clubs, Societies
.per.vg Personal Websites
.fam.gs Family Websites
.pro.sh Professionals
.vet.ac Veterinary/Veterans

Of course these are 3 letter ones.
Have a look at http://www.3la.org for a list of available 3 letter .com/.net/.org domains

I took a look at .st domains. Sadly *suprise* the one I wanted was long gone so I never looked ino it much further.

The one I wanted?

ho.st

That would have been nice.

A really nice TLD is .at, you can use it for many word plays like host.at and the like.

.uk.co seem to have just got out, they might not be the best externsion, but there are even some one letter domains still available, and at £15 ish for 2 years you haven't got much to lose. Also they are one letter shorter than the .uk.com extension, and a third of the price :D

Hello
We are registrars for that and I think they allow 2 letter ones but its a second level domain not a tld (which puts some people off)
There are lots of generic words left.
We sold stop.uk.co recently which shows whats possible provided you don't want a .com.

It's not .at, but you can get .ph domains over at www.dot.ph for $35/yr.
