well this is not cool at all
I can see going down once in a while if ya get it fixed
within a few minutes
but not this 2 times in a week for more than an hour each time

Are we dealing with the same company?

no just my site
read above post
they deleted my account I switched an IP on one of my virtuals which killed the whole account
so they pulled the server and were going to reformat it they said good thing I called or all my data would have ben gone ???

Yeah,

This is getting old! Rackshack's site is down and my site is down.

This is the second time within a week or two that Rackshack has gone down. It's starting to become annoying and I'm thinking about how many customers I (and Rackshack) will lose if this keeps up.

I was told that it was a bad router both times my sites server went down

RackShack seems okay to me and it has been okay for the last 2 hours.

Rackshack is a great host for me, they provide helpfull free support via chat and icq.... very nice.

Plus they have one of the lowest priced servers..

you can't expect to have a host with no problems.. Hardware does fail and it is not exactly the hosts fault unless they buy hadware that they know will not work right.

the problem is with the lines they cannot seel to keep up ????
and manage there accounts

so this is just my story I expected no real support but I did not expect it to be down over 2 hours twice i one week ;)

Hi, I have a remote server (at my house) that check 1once per minute to see if rachshack or tera-byte goes down 24 hours a day and It has not alerted me of any problems.

Are any of you using your own DNS or thiers?

I was using there dns

Looks like this downtime only affected some of the servers, 'cause mine never went down. I've had about two hours downtime the past three months. Very good in my opinion.

i couldn't help it... don't you annoy yourself saying aloha all the time? ;p

Honu appears to be from Hawaii - he's bound to use 'aloha' as opposed to 'hello' or 'hi' ...

hello or goodbye or whatever greeting you want ;)
Hawaii is my home so guess I use it as a friendly gesture to all

if more people had aloha (which is also a kind of spirit or attitude)

the world would be a much better place
