I have a site that gets 40,000 page views a day and my sponsers stats will always say less but my main problem is they pay buy CPM and there telling me that if i dont get more click throughs that they will cancel my account how can i get more click throughs? Thats my question the ads are at the very top of ever page what more can i do? I can't halp if the ads dont get the surfers att.
I try to click on them myself as much as i can half the time i get the error saying "cant click through" I stay with them because they pay alot for CPM, i would drop them if i could get a good sponser but most tell me that my site is adult.


any advice?

Just out of curiosity, what is the URL to your site? I just want to take a look to see if it's what *I* would consider adult for our company.

I've seen many hosting companies call anything with 'skin' adult. In my opinion.. there's a lot of 'gray area' .. when the line is drawn between adult & art or entertainment.

Afterall, isn't this stuff about freedom of speech?! :)

Maybe you should look at more focused advertising, like adult sites (not that I'm big on net-porn). Typical surfer is most likely looking for some skin and would be more likely to click through to an adult site than to free animated gifs (I see a million of those on banner ads).

I've used valueclick.com before, they are not bad. They allow you to filter your advertising somewhat, but they pay per click. Not sure of their view on adult content or what they deem adult content.

Someone says "bikini" which to a guy means "skin" and everyone wants to see it. =)

My host would not allow adult banners im sure and i relaly refuse to put that kind of content on my site. I don't think my site is adult it's just like watching the TV show baywatch :)

I just don't know of many people that pay for CPM i only know of around 4.

yeah i meant banners i can't get any clicks eather, i don't know how other people do it. The banners are at the very top of every page.

Actually I recently saw a few articles where they stated banner click-throughs were now down to a mere 0.04%. 0.04% of impressions = if you had a banner that appeared 10,000 times, it would only get clicked approximately 4 times. It's that bad now, because people are now attuned to 'avoiding' the banners (knowing that it probably takes them somewhere else).....

I never pay attention to banners.

Maybe if you place an image near the banner with one of your bikini babes saying 'click here' :D

You never know, it could work. If you don't already, place some text under the banner stating 'please help support this site by visiting our sponsers'. Many visitors that enjoy your site will want it to stay and will give it the support it needs.

AIS you have a point. If there is a reason to click the banners then I would.

I do have them close to the bikini babes still dosent work. My sponser says they are going to cancel me because i don't get anough clicks. every banner has please vist my sponser under them......without the sponser i cant pay for the site.

There are many ways you could get more click thrus, but it really does depend on your target audience. Although it may seem that many are visiting to see the girls on your site, they could also share an other common interest.

Try running some polls on your site to learn more about your site visitors, then you will understand what they are interested in and can target those specific genres.

Search the Internet for marketing techniques and tutorials, even if you aren't selling products or services on your site you are trying to get some form of income to support your site. Knowing the tricks to this will help you tons.
