Has anyone had any dealings with jiffynet (http://www.jiffynet.net) ? I'm thinking of signing up with them on the 18 USD/year plan. I did a search on this forum which only turned up about 2 negative responses. And there were 3 positives from another forum I visit. The only downside is the yearly contract so I would like some feedback on this host before signing for a year.

Paying yearly doesnt sound like a good idea for a host who has negative feedback here.
Under the contact details they dont list anything other than a feedback form and forum - maybe test out there support before signing up.

I'd suggest you look elsewhere as they offer "unlimited" plans on their larger accounts. This is usually a bad sign.
I also find it hard to believe that they can host accounts for $1.50 per/month and give you 20 gigs of data transfer unless they mean 20 gigs per year (You may want to ask just to be sure). Even then, they would most likely be losing money for bandwidth costs alone. This does not count equipment, support, etc. which obviously are business related costs.

Thanks for the replies. Think I'll give jiffy a miss. Their deal sounds too good to be true, and they probably are.
Oh well, after spending a full day on host searching, it looks likeEnhanced host (http://www.enhancedhost.com) has a good deal going on their 100mb plan. Unless if there are others like it that I have missed.
and they probably stick to the roof of your mouth too. Unless you try them with jellynet.

Enhanced host would definitely be a better and safer choice. They also tend to run 2-1 specials from time to time making the pot even sweeter.
Also good to know the owner is an active member on these forums. ;)
