Nice link. I was always stump when anyone ask me how much my OC192 could do per second. I now can telling them that it is 10gb / sec.

Your a fool if you think you have an OC192. Thats what the global internet backbone is made of (e.g. UUNet) and unless you run a backbone provider - you sure as hell don't have an OC192.

Secondly - most Hosting providers have OC192 connectivity or peering - but there is a MASSIVE difference. I suggest you sort out what your really have. If you don't understand bits/bytes/megabit/megabytes ... then find another job.

Actually, I think wweebbmmaasstte was kidding...

He's had some newbie questions about webhosting so I doubt he works for Exodus or anyone similar.

p.s. The phrase "Your a fool" in an earlier post here makes me laugh :)

So, when do you guys think we will have OC192 connectivity or more to our homes?

Don't tell me never because that would be the same as Bill Gates saying no one would ever need more then 640kb memory a long time ago ;-)

It's actually a SafeWeb IP address, so he could be from anywhere.

You could have it now if you can afford like $10 million per month. Of course, you could only pipe 1/10th of that through your home 1000-base T Network. :-)

Take care,

Brian

Sorry to come across like I did - but I get sick of people going on about 'all they have' and using technical terms they have no idea about... and other such shiznit.

If people would use www.whatis.com more often - and figure out what they're saying before they do - the world would be a better please.

<quote>Dude, I have a duel Pentium III 1Ghz running WinME! Its heaps' fast.</quote>

He is also a fool. A very foolish fool. Does he not know that ME does NOT do asyncronious processing - NT5/Pro does, NT4/Wks does (which kit). No, ME does not.

Anyway, sorry for my retaliation shiz.... bleh. m00.

Anyway, enjoy life, enjoy bandwidth and most of all - enjoy each other.
