Does anyone have a link to a good free port scanner?
Its for my server, never used one before so Id like it to be fairly simple,

Although not strictly a port scanner, nessus is an excellent security scanner and includes the nmap port scanner. If you are looking to secure you machine, nessus is a good start.

Nessus runs as a client/server application. You install the scanner on the server and then use a client on your machine to control the scanner. This is nice because you can scan machines behind firewalls and such without triggering alarms.

I'd choose nessus too ... It's one of the best port scanner out there.

... depending on how it's run, an nmap scan can be detected and shutdown with a program like portsentry.
