If you are offering Reseller Plans, you REALLY need to read the thread linked below!

It is a list of things resellers want to know BEFORE buying from you!
Very Important (imho!)

WebCat,

I think the host offering the reseller account should provide all the info you ask or simply don't do business with them. There are a lot of hosts out here. Some are good and some just don't know what they are doing. I have not been very active here lately only because I find more business on Ebay and my local community. Plus taking some breaks have been nice. But, before you buy your reseller account research the company.

I like to wish you the best in your search and if you have any direct questions for myself please email robert@techknow.com or visit http://www.turnkeyhosting.net

Are you saying you want a reseller account; and want hosts to reply here with the information you suggest in the poll you link to?

As usual, SoftWareRevue slices to the heart of the matter! No, I'm not really looking for them to post that info specifically. What I am very surprised and a little dismayed at, is how many host/advertisers are unwilling to provide the basic information asked about over there.

Pretty much everyone that voted, agreed that there should be a free flow of information between host and reseller. I am VERY sure the host gets all the info he desires from the customer, but apparently for some hosts, reciprocation is just not an option.

I am trying to think of another business where there is an ONGOING relationship, where the one doing the billing and getting paid tries to hide from it's customers! Maybe I am just dumb, or missing something, but this seems very odd to me!

And I have noticed ZERO hosts have replied over there. I wonder if they are reading what their potential customer are saying?

ps- and yes I am definitely shopping for a reseller account. Didn't think it would be this difficult. :)

There may be hosts that responded to your other thread that you are not aware are hosts.

I'd suggest you conduct your own independent field study and email your poll questions to several hosts along with the question of, "Why is this not all listed on your site?"

Maybe you could help the community with your results.

Hey again SoftWareRevue! A very good suggestion! The problem of course, is time!

And why am I doing their work for them?

Do I get a cut? :cartman:
