possible to give static IP for each client from my cobalt raq 4?

I am totally newbie to cobalt and will be shooting alot of questions for cobalt experts to help me solve.

raq4.cobalt.com 172.16.1.200
www.customer2.com 172.16.1.201

172.16.1.200 is a static IP and 172.16.1.201 is another static IP?

There's a "Enable shell account" Option. So my client will be able to use background process? how to disable them to use even though i want to give telnet an option in the hosting feature?

I got to know that SSH is much safer than telnet. True? Is there a SSH option in the raq4?

Does our client get their own smtp.yourdomain.com ? How to setup if possible? I like to know about the mail server setup.

Yes, you can give each client (or site) an IP.

Personally, I wouldn't give telnet with hosting accounts (for the most part).

SSH: See http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com

SMTP: See Cobalt's site for POP before SMTP Auth pkg.

That's fine but please make good use of this forum's search function before asking questions and attempt to find the answers to your questions yourself. You can also seach the cobalt mailing list (which granted, doesn't always work), at:
