My free trial testing out TekAdvantage's hosting services is nearly up. Esr Tek set up my account on Wednesday November 13th. So here is my review of them.

Since my account has been set up, it has been nothing but an utter delight to be hosted by someone like TekAdvantage. Not only from the performance side but the support offered has also been second to none. If I've had any queries regarding the service, support is avaliable through e-mail, the forums and AIM. Support questions have mainly been related to queries about how to use one of their services rather than questions relating to why my site is down for example. All support questions are answered with a friendly and prompt response, which is unlike any other host I've experienced before.

This sort of sums up the attitude of TekAdvantage for me, which is why I'm so happy.

I've been with other hosts before (mainly cheaper ones) and it certaintly seems you get what you pay for. I know this is not always the case, but has been so far in my experiences.

So how do I conclude this review. Well with a big thumbs up for TekAdvantage. I could not recommend them highly enough.

wow, they let you test out for 3 months?

A initial post was placed on here 3 months ago from Esr Tek (the owner of Tek Advantage) asking for beta testers for his service. It came under certain conditions which were to write a honest review at the end of the period. I've tried to test the host under various situations but keep usage of my account relatively low to be fair to the host. I hope I've done this, and now to return his gesture I have posted here. :)

Please note I have now signed up for one of their paid accounts now as I have been so pleased with the service. :)

I've almost had a free account with them, but unfortunately because of some domain problems i decided to backed out. Esr Tek is very courteous even if dealing with a free hosting client.

The TekAdvantage one for testing out their services, but it looks like it's done :(

The free accounts are gone.. sorry :(
We have other incentives now, a new site design (way way way better) and cheaper more robust plans comin out this week.

Does TekAdvantage offer SSH or telnet access?

SSH is NOT available on any Virtual accts for any reason!!!

We try to do most things for our clients they need done in SSH.
Considering how dangerous it is to allow it in a shared enviorment.

SSH is available for reseller accounts on a per request type access. We require Photo ID faxed in first however.

Our VPS and Managed Dedicated plans will have SSH included
