Now my story is this ! I started my hosting with Microsoft . They only allow 40 mb of web space , And I am unable to upload software to them but I have no traffic cap nor bandwith ( the only good thing ) ! I am Trying to get a chat site . How can I do this ? Am I at least able to put a forum such as this ? If so how ? Can You OR ANYONE else give information . Please remeber I am New , take it easy !

A lot of hosting companies -- and you better check on this with your current one -- don't allow you to run chat software, for the simple reason that it's a drain on the CPU. If and when you do go shopping for a new host, can seek one out that explicitly allows chatting. That's what I did the last time I switched web providers -- and my host provides the chat service and software as part of the plan.

OR: You can outsource your chat. I don't know the names, but there is at least one company out there that offers chat rooms, with ad banners, of course.

As far as forums go, there are a number of options out there that you might find meet your needs. Many services offer sponsored forums (with ads), but others you can simply upload and run directly off your site. If you have PHP and MySQL access (which might seem unlikely, since you're with MS), check out vBulletin lite or phpBB. My guess is that if you do a search on these boards for "forum", you'll find a slew of suggestions.

There's a fair few places out there which offer chat and message board services. Here are just a few which are quite popular:

vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com) which is what WHT use.

Ikonboard (http://www.ikonboard.com) which is also quite popular.

Everyone.net (http://www.everyone.net) provide both chat and message boards in their online community section.

Let me add to that by saying everyone.net's services are fully hosted with a 50% shared banner space.

vBulletin and Ikonboard are both run off your own site.

There is a chat that comes w/ hostrocket. It doesn't cost extra. You can not make it the way you want it to look. but if you don't really care about all that then go for it. Hostrocket is great I have three accounts with them and counting. Also host rocket provides support for mySQL, php, peral, all that good stuff. I would pay with them yearly because you save alot of money. Thats what I do for all my accounts with them. The control panel is awsome, and tech support is there major concern. They keep progressing and getting better everday.
