for the past 24 hours sites have been loading on and off
i thought I was going insane as i just moved all my sites to a new server and was popsting way on my forum when suddenly all my sites went down

i contacted my host - they diod traces and all my sites were available
so I jumped on ICQ and started askign ppl both locally and intenationally
everyone I asked COULD see my sites.

so I called mey ISP and after an hour on the phone with them - they tell me its a router in the US - talk to my host.
So back to my host I went - no ! not a problem and they show me the traces

So im sitting there thinkign I have gone insane whrn suddenly a mate in the UK ICQ's me... he cant see my site
Funnily enough he cant see any of his sites either - so I check his URLS and I cant see them also.

yet other peopel can.

eventually we found the only way to see our sites was via a proxy browser (ugH!)

I posted on a lot of message boards about this and some ppl have the same problem.. but noone knows what it is

does anyone here have any ideas??
We originally thought it was DOS attacks again - noiw we are not sure.

thnx all

Dear Kitty,

Is this a newly formed domain? Because it could be a propigation problem. I would ask your host if they are having DNS problems, that might anwser the question.

if your host's box with RS then don't worry. RS currently experiencing some routing problems. Some ISPs will be able to access your system, while others will not

Yes it happends from now tell then..... some of my customers were not able to see some sites. I told them to call there isp. The isp gave new dns servers to the clients and it worked just fine, you might want to try that.

Best Wishes,

I had some problems similar to that yesterday. I asked my host if they were having problems and he said no, but they had deducted, from similar queries to me that it was in fact my ISP. I disconnected and went on dialup (different ISP) and was then able to get the sites I couldn't before.
