I'm not too interested in trying it out, I am just wondering if anybody else has yet.

I'm watching a special on TV about Silicon Valley and the KeyNote company was interviewed etc.

Here is the URL for RedAlert, http://www.keynote.com/services/html/red_alert.html it's much like QWK.Mon.

We use it as a secondary monitoring system for our servers (it only checks every 15 minutes, which just isn't enough - our primary monitoring checks ever 2 minutes). It's not bad, but it's not great either. The price is very high for what it does, and it's hit-or-miss (although it's never failed to catch a real issue, on several occasions it's sent notifications about problems that didn't actually exist).

If QWK.mon could page direct to a pager (via the pager's phone number rather than an e-mail address) we'd drop Red Alert and go with them instead.

Hm, I guess that means it's time to accellerate that feature on the "to do" list. :)
