I was wondering if anybody, from the UK, has bought a domain from any US registars, such as NameCheap or GoDaddy.

UK registars are really expensive compared to the US with the currency etc so I plan to start buying my domains from US registars. I am however in the UK, so I'm interested to know if the process goes ok and what the currency comes up on my credit card bill.

So in particular, has British people bought from NameCheap using their credit card? If so what was the billing process like?

-Thanks.

Unless you are living in China, having a major credit card allows you to make purchase around the globe in most currencies. You bill will show a charge in your LOCAL currency (here Sterling Pound) with the original US$ price and a not-so-impressive exchange rate. Simple and plain.

By the way, there's a WHOLE WIDE WORLD out there. When you have time, go travel somewhere, it's REALLY FUN.
