Does anyone here know any flaws to connecticut-web.com (http://www.connecticut-web.com) service, or could give me some advice about it at all?

The hosting plan I was intending to go for is the 'value unix plan' which is 25MB and 3GB traffic for $24/year.

Something just doesn't seem right for that kind of price.. I checked out some reviews on other sites (review from: WebHosters.com (http://www.webhosters.com/web_host_feedback/customer_reviews/index.html?option=Display+Reviews&comment_id=503&company_id=739) and FindaHost.com (http://www.findahost.com/review.cfm?CID=620&ReviewType=1&ReviewFull=True) ) and they have excellent ratings for the hosting site

Is this really a good deal?
...btw thanks for any help anyone gives.

I don't have any experience nor have ever heard of them, however, it seems like a good deal.

I suggest you read this thread here though:

You don't get a private IP address for your site, so that probably saves the host a buck or two per month per site.

Both the nameservers appear to be on the same subnet, something I prefer to avoid.

The IP range is registered to the @work division of @home, for whatever that is worth.

I'm only intending to do an index page design for my new domain, nothing special. Something along the lines of - 1-5MB storage, 1GB transfer maybe a unique IP (if i needed it?) and an email account.
I didn't want to spend money on a hosting plan with features I didn't really need. Are there any good hosts that fit this kind of criteria?

I would have used my cedant account but they don't support multiple domains, I don't think.

Neliest, you probably don't need a dedicated IP... The vast majority of sites don't. See this thread:

You might want to take a look at hostmatters.com mini plan, or some of the plans at 5dollarhosting.com. Both of these places offer a plan for under $10 per month, which should be fine for your web site.

Good luck.

Being a Connecticut native (hatched there), I think I took a look at them long ago. I can't recall what I found, but for whatever reason I didn't sign up. I don't recall them being dicussed here lately (if at all). :(

Go Huskies!!! :D

neilest, connecticut-web is a good company. I happen to know the owner (Vincent) and he takes care of his customers.
